About Sigrid Olsen

My journey in fashion began decades ago when, with two partners, we established a new clothing brand, centered around on my hand-printed designs. It became the perfect opportunity express my artistic vision, engage my creativity and employ my passion for hand-crafted textiles. Over the years, that small artisan start-up grew beyond anything I could have imagined. By 1999, it had expanded so much that it caught the eye of a major corporation and was one of their first acquisitions. However, by 2008, the economy shifted and my brand was closed. At first I wasn’t sure what to do next, but I chose to embrace this much needed chance to slow down, reconnect with what truly inspires me, and forge a new path.

With the gift of free time,  I spent the winter in tropical Tulum, Mexico, and found myself again. Inspired, I dove back into painting and reconnected with a long dormant yoga practice. Before long, restless doer that I am, this led to a new venture that would combine art and mindfulness--Creative Well-being Retreats. I began hosting circles of women in beautiful locals around the world and that has strengthened the core of my business--my connection with women. This community is what sustains me to this day.

Now, I’ve come full circle. I’ve relaunched my fashion line, this time as a mindful solo-preneur, blending everything I love—handcrafted textiles, wellness, and art. From my home studio in Southwest Florida, I create all my original prints and embroidery designs, carving each printed image from rubber blocks before sending them to artisans in India who hand-carve the wood blocks for my textiles. My embroidery designs, including my signature birds, are all drawn by hand, bringing a personal touch to every piece.

More than ever, this brand is a reflection of everything that brings me joy—nature (especially the ocean), creativity, and a sense of inner peace. I’ve always felt happiest near the water, and living by the sea continues to inspire both my designs and my outlook on life. The vibrant colors, the ever-changing tides, the feeling of sand between my toes—it all feeds into my work. This venture is my way of honoring those simple, beautiful moments and sharing them with you.
